Archie Bunker Queers And Fags

Dear Archie Bunker never met a person he didn't like to make fun of because of who or what they are.

All In The Family which was America's version of a popular TV show in England, Till Death Do Us Part, ran on CBS from 1971 to 1979 followed for another four years as Archie's Place after Archie's beloved dingbat wife Edith died.

What All In The Family showed us back then and even today is how dumb and stupid people are who are bigoted and biased.

However can you imagine if the LGBT Elites of bloggerdumb and orgs like GLAAD had been around.

We would never have seen Archie go into his tirade about fags and queers, never saw the episodes of Edith's drag queen friend who gets killed and not learned that one of Archie's old friends from school was "a fruit ".

Nope they would have turned out like the mobs in the old Frankenstein movies yelling and screaming while carrying their torches and burning down CBS' Television City in Hollywood and scaling Black Rock, CBS headquarters in New York City, like so many little King Kongs crying out de gay has been defamed.

"Good Night Nurse" as Archie would say.

You see boys and girls sometimes (?) these Elites go overboard in their yelling and screaming about the perceived wrong doing against de gay, enough so to put a cork up de boo-de-aye of creativity in the Media, advertsing, Hollywood and beyond.

And whilst I think about it have you ever heard a peep out of them when these episodes have been rerun countless times over the years ?

Perhaps they get it, at least in the case of All In The Family, to stifle because folks can learn something from the portrayal of bigoted and biased stupidity.

Cher & Chaz At GLAAD Awards

Good grief, and I thought gals and yes even guys had huge Afros when I went to high school but Cher how many Brillo pads died to make that hairdo !?!

In any case Cher made a surprise appearance to honor her son Chaz Bono at the GLAAD Media Awards held in LA this past weekend.

While I'm no big fan of GLAAD as regular readers know because of the orgs narcissistic view on all things LGBT and its over indulgence in self-importance it is nice to see them honor Chaz for all he has gone through transcending to his true self while many scoffed and ridiculed him for doing so.

And of course kudos to Cher and her eventual understanding and continued devotion to her son, not to forget her long time support to all things LGBT.

Now if GLAAD could just get out of the politics of LGBT and their kissy-ass footsie approach to Hollywood how much better an org they would be for all of us. Alas that's not going to happen anytime soon, so for now and at least in this instance, GLAAD you at have done one thing correct with your honoring of Chaz.

Even the most asinine of asinines do on occasion come through and show how good they can be.

Too bad it never lasts though ... but as they say ya gotta have hope.

Susan Ungaro Returns Award

So they're writing that Michelangelo Signorelle caused Susan Ungaro of the James Beard Foundation to return to the Boy Scouts of America an award, The Distinguished Citizen Award.

Signorelle wrote a piece at Huff Post's Gay Voices in which he criticized her for accepting the award because the BSA prohibits gays and lesbians from participating in the organization. And according to Signorelle who obviously had a seance with the late gay James Beard, Beard would be very unhappy that she accepted the award for her work with the James Beard Foundation, which has awarded nearly $4 million in financial aid, over the past 20 years to high school students and adults in transition, seeking to pursue a culinary school education.

Shortly after the commentary appeared on Gay Voices Ungaro returned the award to the BSA.

To wit this writer says shame on Ungaro for giving back to the award. The award is not about politics but achievement and in particular work done in terms of financial aid given as described above to high school students and adults in transition. It says nothing about whether those helped have to be nor cannot be LGBT.

Once again the LGBT Elites and their Holier Than Thou attitude reeks of the narcissistic cesspool from which it comes. BTW when is Joe Jervis going to give back his award to The Village Voice ?

Is it any wonder that there are some, indeed many who would like nothing else than to see LGBTs moved to another planet, or Hell in the case of religious zealots.

And on a personal note, having participated in my youth with the Boy Scouts of America, I fully support the BSA and what they do for youth. That they have guidelines as to who as an adult can or not participate may not be fair in the eyes of LGBTs, it is a private organization and can set forth whatever guidelines as to membership it seems fit even now in this day and age as those guidelines have become "socially political" in nature.

de It Gets Better Evolution

Well we started the work week with Joe Jervis and his little dick no neck minions making fun of Tim Tebow and his Easter Sunday service appearance in Texas, how about we finish out the work week with a little laugh.

Yes boys while they say being LGBT gets better and as important that message may be to young folk and those in the closet and I'll add my two cents here, it depends on your personal circumstances and shouldn't be used as complete Gospel in my opinion, the video below is a better guide to "all things are possible" for your life in the future.

But remember even if things don't work out, well there's always the vibrating sex aid to help your partner or .. ahem .. yourself to reach that ultimate satisfaction in which I'm sure even atheist Joe Jervis on more than one occasion has yelled OH MY GOD !! .

Just remember one thing when you turn 80 you'll be sitting down to pee.

Baby Jane's Big Empty Chairs

So there he was on April 5 speaking to a bunch of empty chairs and a few folks at UM-Dearborn.

Talking about equality and all that other stuff which is important to him, but alas dear Baby Jane not particularly too important to others as he relays his thoughts and opines.

Hope they didn't pay too much for his speaking to all those empty chairs.

Wonder if Baby Jane realizes his glory days are over as "refund" is yelled.

The NOM Debacle Overkill

On Monday, March 26, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) released a bombshell against the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) group when HRC obtained internal NOM documents showing NOM's strategy back in 2009 for winning its war against same-sex marriage.

Since then just about every LGBT blog and website, both credible and of the Elite type has reported on this story at least once, once being the optimum word.

But just as the mainstream press often does the LGBT Elite know when they have a "good thing" to browbeat to death for their readers even when there is no to little new news to add except offering opining or dissecting the dissected.

Big story, of course, worth days of examination and re-examination, no.

Of course that won't stop the Elite who will no doubt carry this story on into next week and possibly beyond as if there is no other news to re-report from actual LGBT news websites.

What will not help in this continuation was the unfortunate screw up on Wednesday when MSNBC's Thomas Roberts was to interview former NOMer Maggie Gallagher and she was a "no show" because someone put her in the wrong studio. According to Roberts' tweets she is re-scheduled to appear tomorrow (Friday - TAKE 2) provided MSNBC links to the correct studio this time and this will prolong the browbeating through the weekend and most likely into next week for the Elite.

Let me make it perfectly clear as one infamous President once said this is an important story. What has been brought to light is both vile and contemptible but at the same time should be of no surprise and is par for the course for an organization like NOM.

But, and what the Elite and others fail to see, is this now beyond the initial story coverage does nothing to hurt NOM but gives instead free publicity and a continuing platform of defense in regards to their cause of stopping same-sex marriage.

Publicity when turned into an attack on NOM becomes priceless, both in the cost of advertising what NOM believes and gives them the chance to play the victim of homosexuals who challenge NOM's effort to save and protect marriage deemed to be for heterosexuals only.

NOM at this point will not only be playing the victim but be playing the LGBT press and Elite because NOM knows the story will not easily die down for the aforementioned. Just as high priced prositutes or con men play their clients and victims.

And that is something anti-gay organizations and groups are pros at.

Staff Eggs Thomas Roberts

There's an old saying the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. And that was proved today at the chagrin of MSNBC's Thomas Roberts.

It seems Roberts was to discuss the NOM debacle with Wayne Besen and former NOMer Maggie Gallagher. Besen was there ready to go but Gallagher wasn't.

Unfortunately at the beginning of the segment Roberts showed he can be a bit of an LGBT Elite himself when he said, "This empty studio chair was supposed to hold Maggie Gallagher, former president and co-founder of the National Organization for Marriage. But as you can see she is missing in action, although we did confirm an hour ago that she would be in that studio. I would say, 'Hello Maggie," but you're not there."

And of course the LGBT bloggingdum Elites had a field day with the No NOM Show. That is of course until they had to lick their proverbial behinds when Roberts tweeted the following and had to update their LOL @ NOM.

"correction. It was OUR booking mistake!"

"MYSTERY solved... @maggiemarriage was in a studio ready for our #nom interview it was just the wrong studio booked improperly on @msnbc_booking IT WAS OUR MISTAKE and she has an open invite for the show. Our sincerest apologies."

Believe me I can feel for Roberts as during my broadcasting days I've been in similar situations where through the fault of others I had egg running down my face during broadcasting snafu's.

However Roberts did himself no favor by being the pious Elite he seemed to be when calling out Gallagher.

As I use to say on some of my other blogs, sumbuddie iz gunna git a whoppin'.

H/T to NG Blog as I saw this broadcasting "pull the covers over my head" at his blog first.

Thomas Roberts' interview with former NOMer Maggie Gallagher TAKE 2.

GLAAD's CAP Epic #FAILure

Less than 24 hours after GLAAD announced its CAP blacklist of who shouldn't be allowed to opine in print, radio or on TV it has already become a failure.

This morning in the latter part of the 7 AM hour of Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien, she had on to talk politics Tony Perkins one of GLAAD's Most Wanted anti-gay folks.

Oops ... guess CNN and Soledad didn't get the memo.

GLAAD's narcissistic POV that the Media will pay attention to them and use GLAAD's background blacklist as a guide as to who should not be given a talking head platform because the Media at large is deaf, dumb and stupid because they don't know who they are allowing to opine is like telling a cow not to poop when nature calls.

GLAAD's CAP Media Blacklist

In yet another effort to show its continued relevancy and to get donations to keep this dead horse kicking GLAAD has come out with a new angle to persuade the media both large and small as to who should and should not be allowed air time or ink as talking heads in print, radio or television.

By now you may have heard about this and it's called the "Commentor Accountability Project" which provides the media with background on listed individuals as to their anti-gay rhetoric and stance all to hopefully persuade the media to not give these folks a platform to make an appearance even if not discussing de gay because their mere appearance is an affront to de gay.

Already some of the LGBT Elite bloggers are having their say and giving praise to this endeavor by GLAAD.

Jeremy Hooper of the blog Good As You writes in part, Today, we strive to heighten awareness of this work and expand the sphere so that we can bring even greater awareness of what these folks have said about us on their way to the cable newsroom, statehouse, or anywhere else they present themselves as mere "values voices."

Blogger Alvin McEwen contributes, When it comes to discussing gay issues, the media sometimes handles anti-gay pundits with kid gloves. It's not because of any bias, really. I think that a lot of it has to do with these pundits having the ability to disguise their anti-gay animus.

Given what Hooper and McEwen write it's obvious the media is too deaf, dumb and stupid as to exactly who the guests are which appear on programs or are asked as pundits for their opine on subjects to be put into print and needs GLAAD's help.

Hooper also wrote in the copy/paste piece at Joe Sudbay's Americablog Gay, GLAAD will not be telling anyone who to book, so there shouldn't be any "censorship" claims (even though there likely will be). The basic message is, "Okay fine, go ahead and book this person -- but when you do, here's what you need to know."

Censorship, oh perish the very thought. Just like when GLAAD howled at CNN to suspend Roland Martin or being furious with MSNBC for having on Tony Perkins several times as I wrote about here regarding trying to censor the media because anti-gay folks appear or are featured on-air or in print.

It should be noted in the link at the top of this posting GLAAD thanks Hooper and others for helping to put the blacklist together and also GLAAD or as I have referred to as the Pink Police proves what I wrote in this posting that we are now in the 1984 age of Big Brother. Here's what GLAAD is eliciting, We encourage individuals to alert the organization when these virulently anti-LGBT activists appear on local or national news.

So far GLAAD has, if my old school math is correct, 36 folks listed on their anti-gay web page of "don't you dare use these folks as talking heads" blacklist which has photos of said offenders.

Quite frankly I'm surprised GLAAD hasn't put cross-hairs over their faces. It reminds me of the FBI's Most Wanted list or even beyond that the ones who would be rubbed out or convicted by Bush after 9/11 and going into the war with Iraq to get Saddam Hussein and his "doers of evil".

And so it is boys and girls so as the Himmler's Nazi Gestapo had their blacklist of over 2300 names and backgrounds so too does GLAAD have its blacklist albeit with fewer names.

Comparing GLAAD to Nazis to harsh you may say. Well the Nazis in their misguided view thought they were doing the right thing also for their cause. Call a spade a spade folks GLAAD's list "may not" be censorship but it certainly can fall under intimidation of a sort when in the future GLAAD contacts a media organization and says "we have anti-gay background on these people why are you giving them a platform to speak ?"

Just as GLAAD is asking you to make them aware of media appearances or interviews, so too did the Gestapo have their rats to provide information.

Yep the Big Brother of 1984 Pink Police are now in full swing just waiting to pounce ... but we won't call this censorship or intimidation only a way to better inform the media.

Woody Allen in the video pretty much sums up my feelings about this as one who has worked in the news media and for those in the news media at large who are much too polite to say such things to GLAAD.

Pam Spaulding Comeuppance

There be a slugfest going on as some are taking down to the mat Pam Spaulding of the less than grandiose and use to be important Pam's House Blend.

Monday David Kaufman wrote a post in the Gay Voices section of Huffington Post calling out many of the LGBT Elite bloggers who hold President Obama as A-Number 1 responsible for not making same-sex marriage available by defeating and doing away with DOMA, the Defense Of Marriage Act. While Kaufman's writing focuses on Joe Sudbay of AmericaBlog and his finding fault with Obama and the lack of change and dumping of DOMA Spaulding is mentioned.

Spaulding sent out a tweet calling Kaufman "this fool" for mentioning her in his writing about Sudbay. Then when she posted a link to Kaufman's post on Google+ and wrote about Kaufman, "has a curious hard-on hate for me" she got into a free for all with Derrick Mathis of RENWL when he wrote in part, It's about the messaging that continues from Gay Inc mouthpieces like yourself. You're quick to take credit when some piece of agenda you've been advocating goes your way. But when someone calls you on the carpet for your misguided blah blah then suddenly you have no influence.

He continued after a salvo from Spaulding, You know exactly what you're up to because you know what your reader base wants to see. And that's you giving the black president a hard time because the majority of them (your readership) resent Obama solely because he refuses (and justifiably so) to act on their time table.

And the fact of the matter is this is no time for your games in terms of the presidential elections. There's just too much riding on his re-election to have gay bloggers like yourself playing the games you play. Either you support the man or you don't.

This is what you and your posse have been up to this whole time. It aided in getting us a Republican congress. Yes, Pam, you had a hand in that. Little influence or no influence as you love to bray when someone tells you to can it, you had a role in making sure resentful white gay folks supported Repubs for Congress.

And I love this part although I'm sure some will be offended in his description of some in the LGBT community, And you're going to have a role in impacting feeble minded gays who're going to vote in this coming election. Kaufman in his latest essay clocks you and your friends with the following-----the thing you've been up to for the past three years.

The point I believe Mathis is writing about in part was when Spaulding et al started a still going campaign to "close the gAyTM" and not contribute to the DNC. This goes back as far as 2009 when Tobin Harshaw wrote an opinion piece at the New York Times and called out Spaulding for the gAyTM movement in which she wrote in her rebuttal in the previous link, "time to lay down the crack pipe".

What got Spaulding's ire up was the final part of his opinion piece, Pam, you may not like to hear it, but that last line could just as easily have come from Glenn Beck. Just goes to show: it may be entertaining to watch your enemies rip themselves apart, but you might just want to keep an eye on the guy to your left.

Now here's my unimportant take on all this, but first I do apologize for all the copy/past which goes against this writer's grain but was done for those who do not have access to Pam Spaulding on Google+.

First I find it most interesting that someone who (in addition to her co-horts at PHB and other Elites) makes such a big deal about the issue of bullying yet has no trouble hurling insults at not only Republicans, Conservative and Religious folks, but also have no problem with hurling insults to others including LGBTs when someone is in disagreement with her or said partners in crime.

The crime you ask, the constant finding fault with President Obama and as a party the Democrats who don't move and act according to Spaulding and the others timetable. While she finds fault with GOProud and the like, Spaulding certainly over the past three years hasn't helped keep the Republicans out of various offices and may have induced if not by vote then money being kept away from the DNC. A finer member of the Republican party they could not ask for or find.

Hopefully as Pam's House Blend and other Elite blogs become less and less relevant as they have over the past year as readership has dropped off, de gay can make up their own mind as to who and what to support both in vote and money. But then as Spaulding and others would probably say out of one side of their mouth she/they are not that important in swaying readers while out of the other side of their mouth say how important what they preach and write on their blogs and websites is for the greater cause.

You can't have it both ways. Either you are or not.

Certainly this blog doesn't make any claim either way. Just one more voice out in the LGBT blogosphere opining and I'm certainly not a spokesperson for LGBTs which is how Samantha Manning describes Spaulding in the audio video from 2009 below from Spaulding's Youtube page.

I don't know about you kids but Spaulding doesn't speak for me.

Why So Pissed At Kirk Cameron

Quotes from Piers Morgan interview:

"I think that it's unnatural. I think that it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."

"Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either. So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."

"As I look around I get this sinking feeling that we’re off track, that there’s something sick in the soul of our country, I examine the fruit that’s hanging on the tree of America and I can see that it’s rotting. And that concerns me deeply."

And of course that has set off a firestorm within de gay with GLAAD leading the charge ready to burn Cameron at the stake. To wit I ask where was everybody back in 2008 when Cameron did the interview below with Bill O'Reilly. I know de gay dosen't watch FOX News.

Bradley Manning Traitor Prize

Much as I couldn't believe President Barack Obama won the Noble Peace Prize so too today I'm equally befuddled at the news from the Associated Press via Huffington Post that alleged traitor Bradley Manning has been nominated for the Noble Peace Prize for his possible act of treason with leaking classified material to WikiLeaks.

Manning who has become the love child of LGBT bloggers and activists who in my opinion put the Rainbow over the United States and their loyalty to the aforementioned first, are just as screwed up as Manning who suffers from "identity crisis". Last week at a hearing Manning declined to enter a plea.

I suppose when Manning ends up in prison they'll be sending him gift baskets of cookies and writing him letters and those of the T will be complaining the military prison system isn't meeting Manning's identity needs.

Another thing which is beginning to annoy me to no end is the fawning of bloggers and websites over photos of lesbian and gay service members lip locking their beloveds.

Yes boys and girls this is why so many fought so hard to end Don't Ask Don't Tell, so many can say "look de gay can kiss in uniform".

Kicking de Elites In da Boo e Aye

There are some I'm sure who happen across this blog either via searches of one sort or another, or via a link somewhere in the vast blogosphere, who when I write that out there are others who are like minded when it comes to my take on the Elites both bloggers and websites and orgs, sit back and say OH BULLSHIT !!! before moving on elsewhere.

Here's a little proof from a blog I don't read nor do I the know the person who writes it. In fact another blogger sent me this link in an email. The blog is called Enough Non-Sense and the title of the posting is "Engorged With Self-Importance" which takes a look at Bil (that's Bill with one L) of Bilerico and his recent posting(s) about some in the Trans community. The writer also calls into question the validity of other blogs and participants. Fasten your seat belts those of you boot licking followers of the blogs mentioned in the posting as it may cause you to slip below the computer and onto the floor.

I'd like to highlight just some of the things written, which like minded as myself, the writer looks through the Elite smoke and mirrors and calls a spade a spade.

I need to mention a couple of things before I go on. First off, Bilerico, PHB, and all the rest are blogs…BLOGS !!! Blogs are not the New York Times, or Newsweek, or National Geographic, or JAMA. Anyone…ANYONE…can start a blog for absolutely nothing…no monetary output at all. So why does Bil Browning need money to support it? I’ll tell you why. Once in a blue moon a blog is deemed so newsworthy that the blog is bought for huge sums of money…for example The Huffington Post. But blogs like The Huffington Post hire professional reporters, professional writers, professional editors and are truly online news services. For whatever Bilerico Project or PHB is, one thing they are many light years from being is a Huffington Post. Still, in the atmosphere of self-important delusion, perhaps Bil Browning feels he’s got a shot.

Another thing is the myth of the so-called new media reporter. How many times have we heard Autumn Sandeen refer to herself as a new media reporter? Ugh. These so-called new media reporters love to put up blog headlines something like this: BREAKING: Blah, Blah, Blah. Then ones scans the piece to find it’s something that’s old news and already been plastered on one of the real, legitimate news outlets. BREAKING? What a joke.

But, wait, you say…these blogs are award winning. Yes, they are. Zoe Brain’s blog was “Voted Best ANZ Blog not owned by Rupert Murdoch.” LMAO. Those italics should tell you something for sure. Both Bilerico and PHB have also won awards for being good gay blogs…so fucking what? Who outside the homosexual community gives a good flying fuck? No one, that’s who. One blogger goes on and on and on an on about how she’s a Trinity Award Winner. Well, kudos up my ass to you, Miss Trinity Award Winner…but who gives a shit. You won a Trinity Award from a now virtually defunct organization, IFGE, that was started by crossdressers for crossdressers and that no one but crossdressers gives a damn about…certainly no one outside of the GLBT has even heard of either the organization or the award. But, by all means, lottie dah to you.

And there's more in this well written posting about the Elites.

CNN Suspends Roland Martin WTF

Amazing what happens while you're out of the house for 90 minutes while at the doctor's office for a general followup visit post-heart attack.

According to Erik Wemple at The Washington Post, CNN has caved in to GLAAD's uproar over Roland Martin's Super Bowl Sunday tweets which de gay has deemed homophobic in content.

“Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.” so says CNN in a statement.

Of course Wemple is happy about this as is and will be those in the blogosphere and websites of de Pink as this story makes its rounds. To wit I say .... BULLSHIT !

In regards to my doctor visit, I'll be giving opposing views to these Pink Police Bastards and the LGBT Elite Cissies for a very long time. Try as the blood clot did to kill me, I survived the Widow Maker heart attack and the Big Kahuna upstairs ain't ready to call me Home and wants me to continue to be a voice of reason for those who don't follow the Elite like so many sheep.

As a public service if you experience any of the symptoms or factors described in the video get your heart checked out. You may not be as lucky as me to survive the Widow Maker.

If you experience chest pain, don't be a hero, dial 911, get help ASAP and get to the hospital. I was told by many on August 23 of 2011 the main reason I survived was within an hour of first experiencing pain and symptoms (chest pain like someone was pushing their fist into my sternum, excessive vomiting, uncontrollable sweats and trouble catching my breath) I was being worked on with an angioplasty. Otherwise I wouldn't be here to be a thorn in the side to some.

That'd have been a shame huh ?

One final (uh huh) thought on this and not from me but a commentor at the Rueters website where the story about Roland Martin ran and it's from a ... GASP ! .. a gay man "FlamingLiberal" :

Thanks to political correctness, we have become a very delicate, sensitive, and thinner-than-paper skinned society. I didn’t think those comments were far from offensive. On the contrary, I thought they were a little humorous and would have never equated the comments with violence against the gay “community”.

Let’s get a sense of humor, some common sense, and refrain from attempting to read into things that just simply aren’t there in order to grab the limelight. These “activist” groups that cry foul at every little thing make me thankful I am an independently-thinking, rational, and grounded gay man who sees life outside of his sexuality.

Right On Brother, Right On.

Roland Martin vs The Pink Police

I'm sure many will find fault with this opine but then I don't write to please the masses, quite the contrary, I write for the like-minded out there in LGBTdom and perhaps beyond.

Prior to going to work Monday afternoon I Googled to see how many websites and blogs featured the Roland Martin debacle which occurred Sunday during the Super Bowl and none to my surprise (and even when arriving home after work) the story hit the blogosphere and websites, both LGBT and mainstream, like an avalanche cascading endlessly from the top of a mountain into the foreboding abyss of a crevice.

Which brings me to today's opine of how it is, no matter how small a thing is done or perceived, someone, somewhere will find something which has been said or written against LGBTs even in inference, innuendo or matter of joke.

I have to wonder if there are folks out there who have nothing better to do than to constantly check and monitor social websites be they Facebook or Twitter or any number of others just looking for something to be able to cast a spotlight on anti-gayness.

Are there those monitoring any number of a variety of people or groups for what they say in written form, link to or post a photo of which can be deemed homophobic even if not intended as such but in the eyes of the beholder becomes such. Today's zealots of protecting the LGBTs are worse than anyone involved in the Salem witch trials or even the McCarthy era.

Just who was it who first saw that tweet from Martin and then went running to GLAAD like a cry baby to his/her Mama, or even worse who at GLAAD is monitoring to see what is said or perceived to be against LGBTs ?

With all the things of more important relevance going on in the world, not just with LGBTs and true anti-gay brutality and political or religious agenda, but also the state of the world as far as economics, political strife, people being shot down like so many dogs while rising up against an oppressive government, on Sunday and into Monday and who knows how much longer, the sights of the Elite and others are focused on Roland Martin and his tweet, tweets if you want to add in some others which were noticed after the first "assault" against gays and the "suggestion" to do harm to said individuals.

How many others were there in Tweetdumb, regular folks who may have written something which could have been or was indeed a repulsive notation on LGBTs ?

But you see boys and girls, in the grand scheme of things regular folks don't count because they have no notoriety and don't make headlines either on LGBT blogs or websites, nor for orgs like GLAAD and have nothing to gain by brow beating a singular individual of nothingness, instead it's the big fish they troll for (that's a fishing term for you uneducated) and go after to gain their own notoriety when calling for boycotts or dismissals from careers.

Be careful friends and foe of LGBTdom, yesterday Roland Martin, tomorrow it could be you because they are watching. Its not the year 2012 but 1984 where Big Brother wears pink.

GLAAD Wants Roland Martin Out

Well it didn't take long for GLAAD to react to a perceived homophobic tweet during the Super Bowl game on Sunday by CNN's Roland Martin (you'll find a link to the tweet in Sunday's posting about the Super Bowl here ... hat tip to NGBlog for the tweet link I received via email during the game).

GayStarNews (which has replaced UK Gay News as one of my international sources for story ideas) reports that GLAAD is calling for the dismissal of Roland from CNN for the tweet.

Don't hold your breath kids as although GLAAD like an aging lion thinks when it roars the media listens they have more gum than teeth nowadays.

According to the article, Martin dismissed all the criticism, noting his words had no bigoted intent. Instead they were a slap against soccer as a sport. He added anyone who followed his Twitter account understood his disdain for Beckham's sport.

Yeah okay Roland but how about folks, like myself, who don't follow your tweets and your "history" of disliking soccer.

Should Martin be fired ?

In this writer's opinion no, others have done worse and still keep his/her jobs in the media, but this tidbit of advice to Martin, if CNN gives you 30 seconds of air-time for an apology do it and get this behind you before the Elites really blow this out of proportion, then my friend there will be no turning back and it may back CNN into a corner and then, God forbid, you'll be working for Faux News.

Update - since this posting went up at 2:30 AM this morning, Steve Rothaus at The Miami Herald has reported that Martin used his twitter again around 10:30 AM to offer apology and explanation.

Now can we move on to more important events in the US and the world ?

Pam Spaulding Needs Her A Man

You know you've made it when the Conservative Right and anti-gay religious folks talk about you and start to offer advice on how to improve yourself and bring respectability to yourself when they say you need to find Jesus and get yourself a man and propagate.

Pam Spaulding head mistress over at Pam's House Blend has been given such advice by one of her nemesis the Reverend Patrick Wooden in an interview with Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth.

Spaulding goes into detail about the interview and her reaction to the good Reverend's advice and his invitation in the interview to sit down for lunch with him.

With all due respect to Reverend Wooden you're the last person Spaulding needs to get advice from particularly when you hide behind the cloth of Jesus and condemn those whose lifestyle doesn't fit into your view of the word of God and the teachings of Jesus.

Seems to me Reverend as I was taught in Sunday school many years ago, Jesus and God loves all and we're all His children with no stipulations. It's only mortal men such as yourself who put those stipulations into play for your religious rhetoric and interpretation of the Bible, either Old or New Testament.

And about Spaulding sitting down with you for lunch Reverend Wooden, I wouldn't hold your breath, you may just have to wait for the Second Coming then both Jesus and Spaulding can have a very long discussion with you about the error of your ways.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Let The Gay Dead Rest In Peace

Since I started blogging about LGBTs in 2008 one of the many things which infuriates me about LGBT blogs and websites is when someone commits suicide and there will be post after post of followup even if there is nothing new to add to the sad story other than to promote the cause(s) of the event in which a person takes their life which comes back to gay bullying and often now to promote The Trevor Project and the It Gets Better campaign.

There is such a thing in the real world of journalism as followup but not as it is seen in the so-called world of Citizen Journalists.

Followup to a story is to add new information not used as a means to promote groups, organizations or ideas no matter how well intentioned those three are intended to be.

Many will cry out that we need to do this to keep in the forefront suicide because of bullying as the story isn't continued in the mainstream press.

That's because if there is nothing more beyond the initial story and followup if warranted, the story ends. To keep the story continuing when there is nothing more to add which LGBT blogs and websites do is only singing to the choir, which I'm sure there is more than one member of that choir which gets tired of the brow beating which this repetition is.

This writer is of the opinion that all the continued postings really do nothing other than to get readers to the respective blogs/websites to build readership and perhaps have someone click on an advertisement.

The continuation of one of the latest poor souls can be found at Gay Voices at Huff Post which is primarily a copy/paste of another LGBT news website in which a contributor after going to one of several memorial services offers up portions of a suicide note. That the contributor went to the memorial service as an individual is fine, to report on the service is acceptable but to go and offer up portions of a suicide note and in turn "sensationalize" this "followup story" as both Gay Voices and the originating website does goes well beyond basic respect for the deceased and in my opinion is reprehensible.

Is it really necessary to publish a suicide note either in part or whole which will only provide morbid curiosity for many and making the acquisition of the note newsworthy as being deemed "exclusively". This is bottom feeding yellow journalism of the worse kind and to what end, to be able to explain how and why an individual killed himself. That was apparent in the initial reporting of the sad event.

To me the contributor who wrote the original story which Gay Voices uses is akin to a vulture flying over a dead body to see how much more can be picked from the bones and to whom I have about as much respect for as ambulance chasing attorneys, paparazzi and those journalists and others engulfed in the "black eye" currently being given to the news media in the UK.

As one who had to live through the nightmare of a dead family member who committed suicide and was then "brutalized" by the media in New York City because of his "celebrity" I ask the contributor and others where is the compassion and decency for family and friends of the deceased ?

Bloggers and contributors who write or copy/paste to keep a sad event ongoing so that the well intended which are supposed to help others in their most desperate times can be promoted when in fact in many instances, particularly in this case, are an illusion of hope and are proved to be dismal failures.

With all the coverage which these blogs and websites offer, which some in a despondent frame of mind may look upon as a form of celebrity after the fact, it begs the question, does that contribute to more suicides ?

To report or not to when it comes to suicide is one of editorial dictate and journalistic conscience.

This journalist because of journalistic conscience can say there is no blood on my hands.

GLAAD's Outstanding Blog Award

The credibility of awards can often be dictated not only by the group or organization which gives awards but also the recipient of said awards.

Case in point other than silly awards given by Internet blog worshipping websites whose ulterior motive is to sell the award giving website's sponsors services or products, the "Outstanding Blog" award offered by the Elitist GLAAD organization is supposed to be meaningful as say the Oscar from the Academy Awards.

With few exceptions this award, which was first offered in 2011, has nominated both last year and now this year, blogs which for most of their content is copy and paste from other sources rather than original writings.

The winner of the first offering of the award last year was Joe Jervis of JoeMyGod fame who CROWOLF described in a posting about the credibility in "reporting" of LGBT blogs and websites, JoeMyGod, who never met a copy/paste function he didn’t love. This year's nominees are Mombian, The New Civil Rights Movement, Bilerico Project, Towleroad and Rod 2.0.

Towleroad it seems has been around forever, since 2003 actually and is a favorite of Anderson Cooper so it can't be all that bad. Unfortunately from time to time the website (it really isn't a blog anymore) does get its info messed up in copy/pastes and on more than one occassion didn't correct misinformation or incomplete copy/pastes which gave a different impression of a story than the one intended in the original source. Hmmmm .... sounds like FOX News.

Mombian does highlight LGBT news and events with little to no copy/pastings of other sources except press releases and does have original writings. The blog which has been up and running since 2005, is published by Dana Rudolph and as she describes the blog is for lesbian moms and other LGBT parents, offering a mix of parenting, politics, diversions, and resources for all our varied roles. Mombian provides parenting tips, book reviews for parents and children, news about LGBT families, and political and legal news and commentary, all from the perspective of a lesbian mom. It also includes a helping of lesbian culture and entertainment, in the belief that mothers don’t lose their other interests the moment they become parents.

The New Civil Rights Movement is another version of Gay Voices at Huff Post although the aforementioned has been around a lot longer but offers nothing more than stories which can be found at any multitude of websites both mainstream and LGBT.

Rod 2.0 is another copy/paste extravaganza with multiple theft of uncredited photos in postings but from the Black (sometimes angry) LGBT perspective of news and events.

Bilerico Project is a multi-faceted multiple writer website which has been around longer than the purple colored Dino of The Flintstones and which is owned and operated by Bil (don't spell my name with two LL's) Browning.

Browning whose primary function aside from bringing together the multitude of writers some very good, some not so and others which make readers wonder aloud, WTF are you writing about, is one of whining for donations so he doesn't have to get a real job (guess the BF doesn't make all that much money so Browning can play with his Internet toy and laze around like a 1960's housewife watching soaps all day) and oft writing about gay porn and pretty boys among other topics. Yet again this website is fraught with the copy/paste syndrome.

So who will most likely win this year's treasured award of Elite Gaydumb ?

If the goal is originality with content, content which is often not picked up nor bothered with by the Elite bloggers being a prerequisite, then it should be Mombian which gets this writer's vote, however in light of Joe Jervis winning last year, and we know how the game is played among the Elites, it will be which among the nominees are the Elitest of Bloggers and who suck up to Elite groups like GLAAD the most.

So with that in mind the winner will be for the 2012 "Outstanding Blog" ..... Bilerico Project.

Unfortunately for Browning unlike winning an Oscar he won't be able to turn that award into a cash cow as in the grand scheme of things it's not worth much more than shit on toilet paper.

To quote Sean Connery in the movie The Untouchables, "so endeth the lesson ".

Almost ..... and the winners, yes winners, are Mombian and Towleroad.

The Need To Find de Queerness

I was checking out my friend and fellow blogger Michael-in-Norfolk and when reading this posting it made my eyebrows rise up like Mr. Spock's (they actually do without realizing it as has been pointed out by people for years and when I'm perplexed by dumbasterey).

Not that I'm picking on my friend but the fella he copy/pastes a "film critic" at Towelhead .. uh sorry Towleroad and how said critic points out that the 1927 movie Wings has homoerotic moments.

Nathaniel Rogers the "film critic" in question finds several reasons for finding queerness in the movie which was the first film given the Academy Award for Best Picture.

The use in "dialog" of "you've got game" and "powder puff guys" but most of all because of the clip below. Has Rogers never had such a close friendship with another man that when that man is dying he would overtly embrace and give his dying friend a kiss. Or are all of his "friendships" more relationships and sexual in nature ?

I have and if I had been at the home of my best friend, soul-mate and as close to having a brother without being one when he had a massive coronary and died going on six years now I most likely would have reacted much the same way as depicted in the film clip.

Are people like Rogers and others so desperate and frankly pathetic, to find queerness in things ? If the point was just being made that this was "the first kiss" of one man to another in a film that would be fine. But to automatically make the scene one of de gay and as Michael compares it to Brokeback Mountain, for this writer it's a stretch and a very long one at that.

Shit if that's the case as de BI in the room then I'll look at the photo in this posting and shout out for y'all to hear ... LOOK Wings is about Bisexuals !
