Jose Soto And The Gay Report

When I planned to continue Focus On The Rainbow in this stand alone format one of the areas which I decided not to do was a long litany of listings of other blogs or websites.

However there are two which I have added which you should bookmark if you're tired if the never ending BS from the LGBT elites.

Those two are The Jose Soto Show and The Gay Report both presented by Soto and others, who like this writer, are not afraid to comment on news as it affects LGBTs without the usual "kiss butt" spin which the elites often do to appease their readers. Another which has been added to the short list is CROWOLF and also NG Blog which has been stirring the pot of hypocrisy for several years and often comes under attack by the elitists for doing so.

Needless to say we in this minority of LGBT writers and presenters may not have the greatest following and that's okay but when you're tired of reading the usual spin from bloggers and orgs who worry more about getting advertising stipends or contributions to continue their website or org and having your comments attacked when you don't agree with the status quo, one of the best kept secrets in the LGBT blogosphere is the alternative blogs and websites which puts a voice to those who don't subscribe to the idea that the Rainbow should be dictated on how it should be by elitists.

Publicity Hound Dan Choi Rides The Back Of Bradley Manning

Never let it be said former Army Lieutenant Dan Choi won't use any excuse to disgrace his former uniform and military branch of service while finding a way to get more publicity for himself as most in the media won't give him the time of day as he more than apply self-destructed over the course of the past year or so. That is except of course Keith Olbermann who must be very desperate for booking guests these days.

While many in the LGBT blogosphere have endeared themselves to accused US traitor Bradley Manning because he is reported to be gay and now under a defense stategy that he is suffering from "gender identity disorder syndrome" plus blaming his serving under DADT to make an excuse for his alledged traitorist act of leaking documents, one has to wonder would all these supporters of an accused traitor to the US be rallying around Manning if he were heterosexual rather than homosexual ?

Not a snowball's chance in Hell.

Norway Tells Iraqi Gay Go Home And To Be Discrete

Earlier this week the website LGBT Asylum News reported yet another example of anti-gay actions by countries who don't want asylum seeking LGBTs to stay.

This time it's Norway when authorities told Azad Hassan Rasol (pictured left) even though Norway acknowledges that gays and lesbians are at risk even to the point of being killed in Iraq, a Norwegian High Court responded to Rasol's request for asylum that he ''must comply with Iraq's socio-cultural norms''.

In other words go home, stay in the closet and hopefully you won't be killed.

Rasol who is a Kurd was quoted as saying, "My clan is going to kill me. Gays and lesbians cannot live openly in Iraq". Rasol not only runs the risk of being arrested, convicted and punished for being gay he could also be subject to what are called "honor killings" in retaliation for being openly gay.

According to writer/reporter Michael Luongo in a piece for the website Gay City News, Ali Hili (who has been a news source for myself over the past several years) chairman of Iraqi LGBT a London, England based human rights group for LGBTs in Iraq, told in a press release of the arrest of over 20 gay men in Kurdistan this past September.

“The men were attending a party at a private house on 15th of September when the police raided the address. After fierce protests against the raid by human rights organisations, including Amnesty International, all but three men have since been released from the city’s Garmyan Prison. Several of those detained claim to have been subject to violent beatings while being held in solitary confinement. The authorities in Kalar refuse to disclose the whereabouts of those still in detention, the conditions in which they are held, or the charges they face.”

Rasol's case will now go to the Norwegian Supreme Court.

George Clooney Is Gay Ally

In an article at the website The New Civil Rights Movement reports via other media, actor George Clooney who has signed up for Dustin Lance's upcoming play about Prop 8 Clooney speaks out for Equality for gays and lesbians when he says, “It is astonishing that gay and lesbian Americans are still treated as second-​class citizens,” Clooney said. “I am confident that, very soon, the laws of this nation will reflect the basic truth that gay and lesbian people — like all human beings — are born equal in dignity and rights.”
