Chilly Day In LGBT Blogosphere

Well let the cat fight begin as Pam Spaulding over at Pam's House Blend has taken a pot shot at the blog/website LezGetReal over the mixed up tale earlier this year when it was "discovered" the aforementioned was run by ... hold on to your pantyhose boys and girls ... a man.

Things really get riled up in the comment section of the posting over who actually runs LezGetReal. As usual and par for the course of the so-called citizen journalist world and the cut/paste frenzy which permeates a great many of the LGBT elite blogs like so much cow manure, it is hard to determine what is or isn't the truth when it comes to LezGetReal. But then does anyone really care who is behind it if it is putting out quality content ? Frankly I believe it does a great service for the L's of the community and because it does so, sometimes without kow-towing to the blogger elites, some jealousy has been introduced by those who think only their blog or website is the place to be.

One thing Spaulding wrote in her piece of which this writer finds of great hypocritical amusement is this line, What I don’t understand is the need to blog as something/someone you are not when there is no need for secrecy or anonymity. As to why it tickles my funny bone can be found in this post by Nelson Garcia over at NG Blog.

Hypocrisy it does have an odor ... stale coffee beans.

Huffington Post Closet Queen

Sometime back The Huffington Post added a section with LGBT news and commentary but with little fanfare. In fact to be honest thanks to these dying brain cells of mine while in the "silver years of life" and three times under anesthesia this year I couldn't tell you what I was reading online which sent me over to Gay Voices on Huff's website.

When I first went there a month or so ago I thought well this will make another good source for LGBT news (commentary is a dime a dozen in this age of LGBT blogs and websites) provided they post new and fresh articles rather than just rehashes from LGBT news sites such as The Washington Blade or The Advocate just to name two of several available online or in a printed format version.

So it is this commentary isn't about the content of Gay Voices but with The Huffington Post itself and the promotion, actually the lack there of, when it comes to the Gay Voices section of the website.

You see boys and girls if you go to the front page of Huff Post you will see in the website's banner the sections for Black Voices and Latino Voices are listed along with other sections of news, commentary and other things available at Huff Post.

However Gay Voices is not listed in the banner. So what's up with that he asks. Could it be Huff Post has added de gay section to win the hearts of GLAAD and HRC and others who will be overjoyed that an online institution such as Huff Post is scattering pink crumbs to de gay but doesn't promote it in the banner as not to offend homophobic readers of the website ?

True when you scroll down the front page you may find a posting or two within the Gay Voices section, however if you truly wish to promote a section within a website such as Huff Post, it should be in the banner along with other "a click away" sections. To do less is a slap in the face to the LGBT community and a hard slap at that.

Merry Christmas Arianna, you and Huff Post have been outed so to say.

Jose Soto And The Gay Report

When I planned to continue Focus On The Rainbow in this stand alone format one of the areas which I decided not to do was a long litany of listings of other blogs or websites.

However there are two which I have added which you should bookmark if you're tired if the never ending BS from the LGBT elites.

Those two are The Jose Soto Show and The Gay Report both presented by Soto and others, who like this writer, are not afraid to comment on news as it affects LGBTs without the usual "kiss butt" spin which the elites often do to appease their readers. Another which has been added to the short list is CROWOLF and also NG Blog which has been stirring the pot of hypocrisy for several years and often comes under attack by the elitists for doing so.

Needless to say we in this minority of LGBT writers and presenters may not have the greatest following and that's okay but when you're tired of reading the usual spin from bloggers and orgs who worry more about getting advertising stipends or contributions to continue their website or org and having your comments attacked when you don't agree with the status quo, one of the best kept secrets in the LGBT blogosphere is the alternative blogs and websites which puts a voice to those who don't subscribe to the idea that the Rainbow should be dictated on how it should be by elitists.

Publicity Hound Dan Choi Rides The Back Of Bradley Manning

Never let it be said former Army Lieutenant Dan Choi won't use any excuse to disgrace his former uniform and military branch of service while finding a way to get more publicity for himself as most in the media won't give him the time of day as he more than apply self-destructed over the course of the past year or so. That is except of course Keith Olbermann who must be very desperate for booking guests these days.

While many in the LGBT blogosphere have endeared themselves to accused US traitor Bradley Manning because he is reported to be gay and now under a defense stategy that he is suffering from "gender identity disorder syndrome" plus blaming his serving under DADT to make an excuse for his alledged traitorist act of leaking documents, one has to wonder would all these supporters of an accused traitor to the US be rallying around Manning if he were heterosexual rather than homosexual ?

Not a snowball's chance in Hell.
