de It Gets Better Evolution

Well we started the work week with Joe Jervis and his little dick no neck minions making fun of Tim Tebow and his Easter Sunday service appearance in Texas, how about we finish out the work week with a little laugh.

Yes boys while they say being LGBT gets better and as important that message may be to young folk and those in the closet and I'll add my two cents here, it depends on your personal circumstances and shouldn't be used as complete Gospel in my opinion, the video below is a better guide to "all things are possible" for your life in the future.

But remember even if things don't work out, well there's always the vibrating sex aid to help your partner or .. ahem .. yourself to reach that ultimate satisfaction in which I'm sure even atheist Joe Jervis on more than one occasion has yelled OH MY GOD !! .

Just remember one thing when you turn 80 you'll be sitting down to pee.

Selective Outrage In Sports

When Marlins' baseball manager Ozzie Guillen made his comments regarding Fidel Castro recently there was such an outrage it's surprising it didn't send a tsunami over to Cuba.

Give credit to Cuban-Americans, Latinos and others not just in Miami but around the country who found fault with Guillen and spoke out in outrage.

What's a shame is that same outrage is not felt or expressed when someone in the world of sports be they players, team executives and particularly fans offer disparaging remarks about LGBTs.

Perhaps those who have felt the outrage over Guillen's remarks will now know some semblance of how the LGBT community feels when anti-gay comments are made.

Lesson learned ? Alas most likely not.

And now what about Atlanta Falcons player Roddy White and his tweet in answer to the question "Would you rather lead the league in stats than win a Super Bowl?" to wit he replied "Would u rather be gay or straight come on u know that answer."

Of course he apologized as they always do but not without ranting about free speech.

Baby Jane's Big Empty Chairs

So there he was on April 5 speaking to a bunch of empty chairs and a few folks at UM-Dearborn.

Talking about equality and all that other stuff which is important to him, but alas dear Baby Jane not particularly too important to others as he relays his thoughts and opines.

Hope they didn't pay too much for his speaking to all those empty chairs.

Wonder if Baby Jane realizes his glory days are over as "refund" is yelled.

The Detective Looks At Bias

It was a Saturday night in the spring of 1968 when my folks took me to the Palace movie theater on Main Street in Danbury to see Frank Sinatra’s latest movie.

Had they known in advance the subject matter I’m sure they would have left me home to watch TV.
Fourteen years old at the time and increasingly becoming aware of my sexuality I left the theater with one impression.

The only good homosexual is a dead homosexual, either murdered or one who has committed suicide.

Tough stuff for a teenager and anyone who was gay or bisexual. Herein lies the tale of one of the most gut wrenching films any gay or bi could have seen at the time or even since then in its condemnation of homosexuality.

The Detective.
