Let de Cruise Rumors Begin

So ... Tom Cruise has been served his walking papers by his wife of five years and now let the rumors begin.

Just as John Travolta has been parlayed into de gay rumor mill of late with accusations, some already rescinded, I'm sure de gay or at least bi rumors about Cruise will start.

I haven't bothered to look prior to writing this and quite frankly my dear I don't give a rat's ass damn whether he is gay, bi, straight or likes to do amore' to sheep under a full moon but there will be those who suck up (and make) that kind of gossip like drinking Jonestown Kool-aid.

Only Cruise and his wives and other assorted female partners know for sure and they haven't been talking all these years. To wit I say leave the poor bugger alone.

Who he likes to shack up with is his business and no one else's.

Just be happy we got to see him once in his undies and leave it at that.

Barnes Noble Tosses Out Man

So you see a man alone in the children's section of a book store.

Must be a perv right ? Wrong !

According to the news website AZFamily.com a Scottsdale man was told to leave the children's section by the manager after a busybody woman claimed it made her nervous because there was an older man with no children sitting on the floor in the children's book section of the Barnes & Noble store in Scottsdale, AZ.

The man, a doctor no less, Omar Amin who was in the store shopping and looking for books for his grandchildren said he was a victim of gender bias.

"This is an insult to all men not just to me," said Amin. "I left the store I was upset like hell because I've been so insulted and humiliated in public for the charge of being a man." told AZFamily.com .

Barnes and Noble released a statement from Mark Bottini, vice president and director of stores, "We want to apologize to Dr. Amin for a situation in which Dr. Amin was asked to leave the children's section of our Scottsdale, Arizona store. We should not have done so. It is not our policy to ask customers to leave any section of our stores without justification."

Not satisfied with the statement Amin wants an apology from the store manager who told him to leave and has to do it in person, in the store, in public and on camera, and if he doesn't he may take Barnes & Noble to court.

Good for him ! And this isn't just about gender in my opinion but age bias too.

After all when we think of pervs what image most times pops into one's head. "The dirty old man".

Even though Amin says if he takes Barnes and Noble to court it will be about the apology not money, frankly I think it should be about money also. And he should sue the woman and/or get an apology from her too.

I could just see this happening to me, being in the store looking for children's books for my "grand cuz'ins" by myself and some loon busybody thinking "must be up to no good".

And where will be all the outrage from those who shout, protest and get consternated when there is bias against gays, bis, lesbians and the Ts.

Sorry there won't be any for you Dr. Amin as you are just a heterosexual and don't fall into the select guidelines of gender bias outrage.

Hate Crime Against Lesbians ?

So back in October of last year a lesbian couple in Colorado said someone painted "Kill The Gay" on their garage door and then the next day they found a noose hanging on their front door.

The pair Amiee Whitchurch and Christel Conklin said when asked why anyone would do such a thing that it could be because they don't pickup after their dogs ... poop I presume.

So outraged were the bloggers (and others) in LGBT blogdum that cries shouted out that a hate crime had been perpetrated against the pair.

Fast forward to now as the pair have been charged by local police for staging the whole thing. WHAT !! How could this be !?!

The pair are being accused of criminal mischief and filing a false report with Whitchurch also charged with forgery.

Of course the pair deny such allegations but have also said NO ! to a lie detector test.

So if these allegations prove to be true will all those outraged bloggers and others carry this Part Dux of the story or pretend it doesn't exist ?

Try the latter rather than the former boys and girls.

Elites like their face and will do everything to save it rather than admit .. oh shit were we sucked in !

The Day Jared Max Came Out

It has been a year since ESPN Radio's Jared Max came out of the closet for all his listeners and world to see.

No small decision to make what with being an on-air personality on a major media network.

I'm reminded of this today as Jared has done a posting on FB thanking all who have supported him over the past year including of course ESPN.

In an article from a year ago on ESPN's website, Max said in his announcement to listeners, "Are we ready to have our sports information delivered by someone who's gay? Well, you know what, we are gonna find out," Max said. "Because for the last 16 years I've been living a free life among my close friends and family, and I've hidden behind what is a gargantuan-size secret here in the sports world. I am gay."

While Max's one year anniversary of coming out will most likely get little play in the world LGBT blogdumb, I do so because, and as Jared knows as I have written to him before, he did something I wish I could have done back in the 70's when I was a sports broadcaster.

Come out as a broadcaster who happens to be LGBT.

Thanks to Jared who helped pave the way for broadcasters who have and will in the future come out as LGBT.

Need I remind that it is not what you are but who you are which matters.

I look forward to the day when the former is of no consquence for those who work in the mass media.
