Linda McMahon Wins Senate

Well she has won the Connecticut US Senate Republican primary beating out Chris Shays and in doing so did it with spending less money than last time.

Voter turnout here on Tuesday was predictable with primaries, low turnout only about 30% with more Reps than Demos voting across the state.

So what made the difference this time ?

In the mind and eyes of this former reporter of local, state and national elections in Connecticut she had a theme that worked.

I'm just like you.

Her ads and her public appearances were down to earth. Gone was the air of self-made privilege amassed from her vast company the WWE which is based in Stamford.

In her ads she discusses being with child while she and husband Vince were in college, having to file for bankruptcy and starting over.

Her campaign did something few can do and amazingly for a Republican, have people relate to her and past circumstance no matter their political belief or stand.

It will be interesting to see this November how Independents vote and if she swings moderate Demos over with her down-home approach.

My prediction is she will win the seat being vacated by I-Senator Joe Lieberman and my 5th Congressional District will go back to the Republican side too.

I'll also predict unless Obama can get out the voter count of four years ago when it comes to November it's going to be a tight race with possibly the Republicans squeaking out a win.

You see boys and girls the vast majority of Americans don't give a hoot about LGBTs.

At this point and time it's about getting work, getting the economy to rebound, getting home prices back up .. in short it's the economy stupid.

And as far as Medicare don't get sucked into all the Liberal bias on that one.

Much to the chagrin I'm sure of CNN, Dr. Sanjay Gupta on Tuesday perfectly explained the deal about Medicare and it's not the doom and gloom the Liberals try to pass off.

Hard pill for you to swallow perhaps but this isn't the year for all things gay, in fact it's less than ever. Better luck next go round.

Romney Ryan That's Amore

The LGBT Elites will be having fun with the Mitt Romney - Paul Ryan GOP ticket so much so I can hear the screams of ecstasy as I write and at this time of the early hours of Saturday morning the official announcement hasn't even been made yet.

Both GOProud and Log Cabin Republicans should be out over the weekend with their say on the ticket and in the short and long run, the opinion of those two groups is all that matters .... not that of socialist Cheetos stained brats who will opine and continue to wave their stained Rainbow flag for POTUS.

While this ticket may not be enough for the GOP to take away the White House, it surely will make for interesting conversation, not from the slanted Liberal press as what they will say will be redundant and old hat, but from the Conservative side of the Fourth Estate.

Will the addition of Ryan be enough for Conservatives to enthusiastically jump on board or will their vote remain one of "anybody but Obama" ?

And not taking very long to react both GOProud and the Log Cabin Republicans are pleased with Ryan's appointment as Romney's running mate.

Guess Who Came To Dine

Well we regular folks who live in Fairfield County, Connecticut are use to the rich and famous in our neck of the woods and up into Litchfield County.

Heck there was a time when Robin Leach of Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous fame lived just a tad couple of miles from me with a "lakefront" home on Candlewood Lake. The quotes around lakefront is because between the house and the lake were a multitude of gawd awful steps down a steep bank to the waterfront. In fact because of the "modernistic"flavor of the home (which really didn't fit in with the homes in the hood), that long walk down to the water and the price he was asking at the time kept the house on the market for much longer than he probably anticipated and had to sell it at a much reduced price when it did finally sell well over a year or so later.

So when celebs who do or have lived in our County, mostly in the southern part or up in Litchfield, with the likes of the late Paul Newman (wife Joanne Woodward still lives here), Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, the late Eartha Kitt, Henry Kissinger, Diane Von Furstenberg, Mia Farrow to just name drop a few it really does become old hat. Many of us old timers have called our area Hollywood East just because of all the names and money which has come and gone probably since the hay days of early Hollywood.

So when on Monday POTUS, otherwise known as President Barack Obama, came calling for money and dinner it was really just a big .... sigh for many of us. First he attended a fundraiser in Stamford at the Marriott for upwardly mobile folks at a mere $500 a head then the big bucks dinner for the big bucks people and celebs at $35,800 a head at a "real" waterfront home in Westport, that of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein which was co-hosted by the lovely Anne Hathaway.Pity I didn't have the money to attend as I would have liked to of seen Joanne Woodard again who I last saw back in the 70's when I covered the racing team Paul Newman raced for.

Good grief I'm beginning to feel like a gossip writer.

Of course the teabaggers were at the Marriott to "greet" POTUS however his visit was not without some controversy as the beloved Sherwood Isle State Park in Westport was closed so POTUS could land his Air Force One helicopter. Nope he didn't win any friends with that stunt.

So while the Commander-in-Chief rub shoulders, ate, wined, dined and schmoozed, life for the rest of us regular folk just went on.

Good thing these events didn't take place in Greenwich as he may have been dining by candlelight and eating burgers and hot dogs cooked outside on the BBQ just like us regular folk do.

So it goes, just another day in Western Connecticut aka Hollywood East with our well-to-do neighbors. And rumor has it Tom Cruise may be coming to the hood too.

Shep Smith Outed Again

In what starts off as an article about Shep Smith of FOX News and his "hidden agenda" comment about the Chick-Fil-A "appreciation day", "It’s National Badminton Day," he said on his show. "Let’s forget National Day of Intolerance. Let’s just stay with badminton"once again becomes another excuse to try to out the newscaster.

Regular readers know where I stand on this issue so I needn't go into it yet again but here you have EDGE doing an article about Smith and Chick-Fil-A and taking another opportunity to try to get Smith to come out just as these and other queer fascists did to Anderson Cooper and others until they kick open the door presuming there is a door to kick open.

Previously Smith has said this about same-sex marriage, After President Obama announced his support for gay marriage, Smith said on his show that the president is on the "right side of the 21st century." He then asked his colleague Bret Baier if the Republican Party would campaign against marriage equality "while sitting very firmly, without much question, on the wrong side of history on it".

Smith's comment at the time apparently ruffled Rush Limbaugh's feathers as he reacted, "Shep, where has the issue won?" Limbaugh said. "Where has the issue been victorious, Shep, outside your house? Where has the issue won an election? What state? Tell me where it’s happened."

The faggot press and LGBT Elite faggot bloggers are a contemptible lot, they lead off with one story item and use it as an excuse for another agenda.

Perhaps one day some of the folks who get this kind of "press" will have the balls to sue the pants off the bastards. But they won't as they "ignore" the coverage, stay silent as if there is nothing to acknowledge which of course just let's this kind of bullshit journalism to continue.

Obviously the editors at EDGE have their heads up their ass and never bother to ask the question prior to running a piece, "is this relevant ?"
