Frivolous Lawsuit Over T-Girl Potty

So there is this 1st grade boy who identifies as a girl in the state of Colorado who according to his parents the school he attends is discriminating against him because the school won't allow him to use the little girls room.

The school by the way is willing to accommodate the young laddie/lassie by letting him use the gender neutral adult restroom or a restroom in the nurse's office.

Nope not good enough, the parents want him to be able to do his business in the girls room because he thinks he's a she and of course the parents parlay and allow this silliness rather than waiting until an older age when he can understand what and why he wants to be in spite of being born a boy.

The mother says "we just want the best for ....".

Really, then how about ending this charade of a lawsuit.

It's confusing enough for adults when gender-benders (as opposed to transsexuals who go through slice and dice surgery) use the restroom of the gender they really aren't, let alone school children who will not understand why a boy in a dress is peeing in the girl's room.

That will be taken care of no doubt as children in this or another elementary school will have special classes on the subject and aspects of the T. Wonder how many parents will be thrilled with the idea of that.

Things were so much simpler when I was in elementary school.

Reading, writing, 'rithmatic and lunch ... not he's a she but not really.

LGBT Seniors Lost In Phoenix Policy

LGBTs in Phoenix, AZ are hailing an amendment to its discrimination law which will now include LGBTs.

According to an article in The Arizona Republic newspaper after five hours of often heated testimony on Tuesday the City Council voted 5 - 3 to extend it policy against discrimination to include sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

The amendment which was championed by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton will include housing, public accommodations such as hotels and restaurants and also employment. Those who break the policy face a misdemeanor fine of $2500.

But there are still exemptions such as religious organizations, small private landlords, private clubs and senior housing.

Religious groups will still be able to keep LGBTs out of housing run by the groups and although not specifically stated in the article so too one would imagine facilities and complexes for senior housing.

Currently the excemption for senior housing relates to age requirements however who is to say at some point (if it hasn't been done already) a facility for senior living such as retirement homes or retirement complexes including mobile home parks won't try to discriminate against LGBTs when they try to purchase or rent a retirement unit or after the fact by property committees and rules.

So it would seem that Phoenix LGBT seniors may have to continue to hide or go back in the closet.

Those hailing the news today should not stop their fight until their LGBT seniors are included in this non-discrimination amendment.

For they too will be seniors one day.

Tom Judson Lives His Life With AIDS

Tom Judson, actor, composer, musician and author has written a post at HuffPost Gay Voices describing his living with, rather than dying from AIDS twenty years after getting "that" call from his doctor.

The gay plague is not the death sentence it was so many years ago but with that being said there is still no cure nor prevention other than abstinence or taking sexual activity precautions.

Judson wrote his book Laid Bare which was published in 2011 based on his life experience as an legitimate actor, musician and yes of course his days as gay porn star Gus Mattox.

The HPGV writing gives one man's perspective who unfortunately far too many gay and bi men can relate to with honesty and thankfulness.

As he concludes in his essay, Sadly, I lost Bruce and most of my friends. I even outlived the World Trade Center. And much to my surprise, I was around to celebrate as the 20th century slipped into history. But I'd have to say that of all the milestones I've passed since that shocking morning two decades ago, the thing that pleases me most is that I lived to see Cats close.

Danica Patrick Wins Pole For 500

This year instead of boggedy boggedy it will be boo-de-aye boo-de-aye as former IRL racer Danica Patrick with the help of her team owned by Tony Stewart captured the pole for this year's running of the Daytona 500.

Of course the emphasis has been on her being the first woman in history to do it, it was enviable that if not Patrick, another woman would eventually get the cherished starting position.

Daytona 500 history is against Patrick as few who start on the pole end up winning the "Super Bowl" of NASCAR.

Patrick vilified by some but loved by many fans has pretty much shut up the nay-sayers when she made her switch from the IRL to the most popular, at least in the US, auto racing venue NASCAR.

So what does all this have to do with all things LGBT ?

To the surprise of some auto racing isn't just for de straight anymore and hasn't been for sometime.

So much so there is a website of several years devoted to de gay and the love of auto racing.

Queers4Gears was started in 2009 by Michael T. Myers and is the go to place for all things racing on wheels. Back in 2010 I guest hosted on the BlogTalkRadio program Gay Agenda with host James Hipps when we interviewed Myers and talked about his website. After several minutes of Hipps going through his regular diatribe of sometimes nonsense, Myers and I got down to business talking about NASCAR and all things racing. I pretty much took over the rest of the 60 minutes long program having covered the Bob Sharp Racing Team back in the 70's when Paul Newman and Sam Posey were the featured drivers. You can listen to that interview by going here.

So congrats to Danica Patrick. Will she get another place in NASCAR history with a win, or as so many pole sitters have done in the past, fall back and watch the rest of the pack go by for much of the race ?

If Tony Stewart has anything to do with it he'll be pushing Patrick to the front and her crew will keep her car in tip-top shape for the 500 miler while she hopefully avoids wrecks.

This will be one race to watch which is already one for the books.
