Jealousy The Peril Of Being Bisexual
It's not often I promote a blog which I come across but Aroused Woman authored by Trish Causey is worth adding to your favorites whether you're a straight gal, lesbian, bisexual or just a guy wanting to learn more about women and the all important how to please and get along with a woman.
What brought me to Causey's website was this posting about a bisexual man telling his girlfriend about his wants and needs to full-fill being bi and the jealousy it brought about for his girlfriend, not just worrying about his want of other women, but also men.
Unless one is hooked up with another bi or an open minded partner it can cause great consternation for the unsuspecting partner when all is laid on the table about true feelings of oneself and wanting to be the real person and sexual identify one needs to be.
Causey who herself is bisexual gives the questioner of "Ask Trish" some guidance without being condescending nor judgemental. And it's worth a read if for nothing else to see how uneasy it can be for members of the L & G (and of course straight) not understanding where we B's are coming from in not only our identity but also sexual gratification.
Aroused Woman, because of photos and subject matter, is one for adults only and certainly those with an open mind on all things sexual in nature. But one which I do recommend.

Judge Won't Marry de Straights
You know one of the unfortunate things about former Presidential hopeful Rick Perry is people paint a broad picture about what the folks in the great state of Texas are like. Not everyone who lives there are homophobes any more than in any other state. In fact most likely many don't think about those who are pro-LGBT but the LGBTs themselves who live there.
Case in point as reported by The Dallas Voice, Dallas County Judge Tonya Parker who not only rules the bench but does so as an out and proud lesbian.
Tuesday evening she spoke before the group Stonewall Democrats of Dallas during its monthly meeting. Parker herself is a member of the group.
In her remarks as quoted by DV she said, “I have the power, of course, to perform marriage ceremonies,” Parker said. “I don’t.”
She followed up that remark with, “I use it as my opportunity to give them a lesson about marriage inequality in this state because I feel like I have to tell them why I’m turning them away,” Parker said. “So I usually will offer them something along the lines of ‘I’m sorry. I don’t perform marriage ceremonies because we are in a state that does not have marriage equality, and until it does, I am not going to partially apply the law to one group of people that doesn’t apply to another group of people.’ And it’s kind of oxymoronic for me to perform ceremonies that can’t be performed for me, so I’m not going to do it.”
So before you put down Texas because of Perry, the Bush's or even JR Ewing, remember there are a lot of great folks deep in the heart of Texas like Judge Parker.

Beth McDonald Supports LGBTs
Phoenix radio station KEZ 99.9's morning host Beth McDonald has told the Catholic Church, NO ! and will not be hosting a charity event after members of the Catholic Community Foundation questioned her support of the gay community.McDonald who was to participate on April 21 during the Phoenix Gay Pride Parade told the Arizona Republic newspaper "I had to take a stand".
The CCF was going to honor former and disgraced Bishop Thomas J. O'Brien until abuse victims and families complained and then he opted out of "the honor" according to the article.
McDonald told Donna Marino the chief executive officer of CCF "the gay community has my support".
Brandi Sokolosky, executive director of Phoenix Pride, said that even though the church does not support gay causes, many individual Catholics do. She said that McDonald backed out of this year's parade a week after her participation was announced because of a conflict but that the organization would like to honor her next year.

Lady Gaga Skips End Of The Show
Lady Gagness appeared to skip out of the Grammy Awards after not getting best album of the year and passed over in all her nominations. After the final award was given and before the big finale and I mean BIG with Sir Paul McCartney and friends, just before going to commercial break the director of the show took a wide angle shot showing the audience and there was her Gagness walking with scepter in hand apparently leaving the show before it ended.
Of course I could be wrong, perhaps she had to go potty or her limo was double parked, but it gave this writer and I'm sure others an image of a spoiled sport leaving because she was panned for awards.
By the way and I'm sure it's a generational thing but doesn't anyone tell this young lady how ridiculous she looks in some of these get ups ? Oh I know it's a Madonna thing but at least Madonna had the talent and where-with-all to pull off some of her more outrageous costume appearances. But then I suppose loveliness is in the eye of the beholder.
It's like one of my cuz'in-laws once said about the GREAT Stevie Wonder. If he could see how some of his cronies do his hair he'd shoot them.
As far as the awards which were won (of those I saw) it was good to see some "good old fashion" type music artists and songs win rather than some of the screechers with ear piecering guitars flailing and other buffoons who have won in the past.
Sorry boys and girls while I do have a wide range of taste in music I don't care to be screamed at (never cared much for many of the hard rock bands) and I like to be able to understand the lyrics forthcoming from a performer's mouth.
A well done and subdued tribute to Whitney Houston in the Memoriam part of the show.

George Clooney Is Gay Ally
In an article at the website The New Civil Rights Movement reports via other media, actor George Clooney who has signed up for Dustin Lance's upcoming play about Prop 8 Clooney speaks out for Equality for gays and lesbians when he says, “It is astonishing that gay and lesbian Americans are still treated as second-class citizens,” Clooney said. “I am confident that, very soon, the laws of this nation will reflect the basic truth that gay and lesbian people — like all human beings — are born equal in dignity and rights.”
