Vanity Does In Luka Magnotta GUILTY

Accused murderer Luka Magnotta may have been caught in Berlin Germany because of his own vanity.

Arrested in an internet cafe Monday afternoon it's been reported Magnotta may have been surfing the net looking for news and articles on websites and blogs about his alleged hienous crime of killing and dismembering Jun Lin a purported cross-dressing lover of Magnotta.

An international manhunt for Magnotta had been underway since May 26 when it was reported Magnotta flew out of Montreal to Paris. At the time it was thought because of his previous travel history and familiarity with Europe he could be hiding and "blending in" anywhere and using aliases as he has done in the past.

This narcissistic sociopath has been caught before he could kill again but will more bodies turn up as his past is investigated is the question to be asked.

Was a murderer caught before he could become a serial killer or is the death of Jun Lin only the tip of the iceberg, only time will tell.

The above was originally posted 6/4/12 and today 12/23/14 justice for Jun Lin was served with Magnotta found guilty of his murder as reported by Reuters.

Anderson Cooper Has Tied The Knot

Unknown to many Anderson Cooper and I have been friends for several years.

I received a call last evening from AC that he had traveled to upstate New York near Lake George on Saturday with the love of his life and the two got hitched in a very private ceremony before a justice of the peace.

Just a handful of family and friends were present as not to create a blitzkrieg of media and paparazzi as the pair said their "I Do's".

AC will be on "vacation" this week.

I won't mention where they will be spending their honeymoon.

Congrats to the newlyweds as they spend their first April Fool's Day together.

Probation In War Of The Hoses Case

Hunky former FDNY firefighter 29 year-old Taylor Murphy got a five year probation sentence in his he-to-she slap fest of alleged hooker Claudia Charriez (in photo) back in 2011 during a tryst in a NYC Times Square hotel.

Murphy who once posed for a calendar photo shoot and likes his ladies with a little bit more between the legs beat the rap of choking Charriez but got a misdemeanor charge of slapping de bitch with a $400 fine and a felony conviction for contempt of court when he called and text Charriez 1,000 times even though contact was a no-no.

As a result of his alleged abuse of Charriez and conviction he lost his job with the FDNY in December.

During the trial which the NYC media dubbed "The War Of The Hoses", Charriez while on the stand claimed she "ain't no ho" despite having at the time an online ad for her escorting services to the tune of 400 bucks a pop or date if you prefer.

Charriez who is reported to be by the NYC media a pre-op transsexual did not attend Monday's sentencing but did offer a written statement which was read into the record before sentencing.

The T's no doubt will have their pantyhose and knickers all knotted up over the probation sentencing and also the article in today's edition of the New York Post owned by Rupert Murdoch which uses the sub-headline for the article "Bravest gets off easy on she-male beat".

For those who wish to offer their displeaure of the use of she-male in the newspaper article can send an email to the New York Post article writer via laura.italiano@nypost.com .

Sam Champion Out And Is Engaged

Okay so you've read or heard about this all day on Friday but it's still nice to add this bit of news to the archives of this blog of those in the media who have officially come out as proud for all to see.

And another of de gay media folks who will be having nuptials in New York City as the state of New York became one of the few places in the US where gays and lesbians can wed.

So it is Sam Champion of ABC News/Good Morning America fame will tie the knot with longtime companion Rubem Robierb this New Year's Eve.

Champion and Robierb were among the guests of MSNBC's Thomas Roberts' wedding a week ago today and apparently seeing the wedding cake or drinking some of the fine libations brought about the decision to announce they would be getting hitched and of course in doing so he "officially" came out for more than his friends and colleagues to see. Let's hope Robin Roberts will be well enough to attend and catch the bouquet.

All we need now for a trifecta is for Anderson Cooper to announce he's getting hitched but we know how that was going this summer. But there's always hope for our beloved AC.

So as I say to all I write about who come out, Welcome Home Sam, Welcome Home.

Maddow Serves After Debate Drinks

There were two things sadly missing in last evening's debate.

Audience participation and POTUS.

And the talking heads at MSNBC had to lick their liberal wounds as their dog in the fight acted like a Chihuahua with its tail tucked between its legs going up against a Great Dane.

And don't ya know some in the LGBT kingdom (particularly on FB) were complaining about no discussion of all things LGBT, although Obama did mention DADT once that I caught.

Um ... I guess they (the complainers) didn't pay attention to the format and topics which were to be discussed.

Sorry fellow Pinkies, the world and the US doesn't revolve around us in spite of what the Elites tell you.

So it is I'm sure they passed around a bottle or two at MSNBC when the debate was over and the after sparring talking head session came to a close.

As my Dad told me about when he was stationed in England while in the Air Force and when finding out the 70 odd acres of the Evans Homestead was being sold, he went to a pub and got politely pissed (drunk as we say on this side of the pond).

Blow Me A Big Kiss My Sweet Lovey

So we have Ted Koppel discussing Faux News with the homophobic Bill O'Reilly and pointing out Faux News' bias in reporting a Conservative agenda. Of course MSNBC reports the Liberal side of bias with its talking heads and CNN tries to fall in the middle with "news reporting" rather than talking heads .. uh .. tries.

Mind you this conversation is between an award winning and respected journalist and an egotistical former school teacher who thinks that everyone bends on the hot air he blows out of his lips while opining "fair and balanced" bullshit.

Sometimes although not often it can be worth watching Faux News, but then again the good stuff usually pops up on YouTube eventually.

So here's to Koppel as he blows off the blowhard O'Reilly with an air kiss .. can it get any better ?

Yes if Koppel had farted in O'Reilly's face.

Jeff Lewis GLAAD Is Over Sensitive

Ah another voice of common sense has spoken.

Jeff Lewis of the Bravo shows Flipping Out and Interior Therapy was threaten by GLAAD if he did not apologize for his description of a transgendered person as a he/she and crack addict they would "disassociate" him from the org.

Lewis refused and he was booted from the often overbearing and zealous "how dare you" group and "protector" of all things gay.

This happened in 2011 but is making the rounds again thanks to an interview Lewis did with Larry King.

In the rehash article from On Top magazine, Lewis is quoted as saying towards the end of the interview with King, and just like the smell of napalm in the morning I love this, “I feel like some people are unnecessarily attacked by GLAAD. And I think they're a bit overdramatic and oversensitive. And I think that alienates people. And I think that negates the cause.”

Sean Savoy Returns To The Air

Sean Savoy, talk show host, minister and "spiritualist" whose radio program House of Savoy was canceled by Reno, NV radio station KKFT-FM last month returned to the airwaves today on another Reno radio station KJFK-AM.

According to dialog during the beginning of today's program the producers of the show, Nevada Matters Media, hope to offer
House of Savoy to other radio stations in Nevada and parts of the West.

The cancellation at KKFT-FM created an uproar in the LGBT media, blogs and support groups such as GLAAD when the program was axed by the station owner Jerry Evans (no relation) because of one edition of the program which discussed LGBT issues.

While several bloggers, including this writer, misinterpreted the "self-promotion" of Sean Savoy about his show being canceled as just that, to get another venue or stir up the "troops" to rail against KKFT-FM for the cancellation of the show as being an anti-gay move on the part of station management, this writer at least, now is of the opinion had Savoy not issued notice about the show's cancellation on FB and Twitter and get some coverage through the LGBT venues of media this homophobic act of a radio station owner would have gone unnoticed.

I'll be talking LIVE with Sean Savoy on my new BlogTalkRadio show, Focus On The Rainbow, on Wednesday September 19 at 12:30 AM ET (Tuesday September 18 9:30 PM PT) in which we'll discuss the show being cancelled by KKFT-FM and its new home on KJFK-AM.

KKFT-FM Axes Sean Savoy Show

So there's all this buzz and outrage over KKFT-FM canceling minister and "spiritualist" Sean Savoy's radio program, House of Savoy on Sunday evenings, allegedly according to Savoy "because he interviewed an LGBT advocate".

Of course everyone is jumping on the bandwagon including the ever predictable GLAAD which is doing one of its "howling dogs barking" campaign at the radio station and station owner Jerry Evans (no relation thank you very much) for the "firing" and accepting at face value that the reason the show was axed is Savoy's explanation.

GLAAD and others even go to the extent of calling this "censorship". Funny that coming from GLAAD which has a "NO AIR" hit-list of those who shouldn't appear in the media because of their views of all things LGBT.

Though it could be true (with no comment from station management at the time of this posting) what most likely no one has even bothered to notice except for myself because I worked in the radio biz is this one little note of fact.

Savoy's show which has been labeled as a "public affairs" program started airing in September 2011 with his show now canceled in August 2012.

That's a year's run folks and perhaps ... oh dare I say it .... Savoy's contract was only for a year and was not extended ? But because the station is a "FOX News affiliate" and practically all its programming line-up is conservative talk radio makes the reason for Savoy's alleged firing for de gay all the more palatable for the LGBT fire and brimstoners. Also "public affairs" programs often air at the "whim" of station owners and/or management.

So outraged is Savoy he has decided to officially come out of the closet.

Gee .. it took this for him to kick open the door ?

Now the last I knew anyone in radio (or other media), on-air or behind the scenes unless you're union or have an excellent contract (even that can have stipulation clauses for firing) can be axed at anytime, such is the nature of the beast. To wit I say .... hey Sean grow up and grow a pair of big ones.

It wasn't fair that in 2006 over 120 of us at CBS Radio got downsized, and it may not be fair you got axed either, but before everyone automatically concludes that Savoy's reason for getting the axe is true there may be more to the story after all we haven't as yet heard both sides of the story.

So I'm sorry you lost your one night weekly gig but as the great Linda Ellerbee use to say, .... and so it goes.

Welcome to radio Sean ... you're getting more than your fifteen minutes of fame ... or could that be the intent all along in getting this story out to de gay press and cut/paste copycats while you "look for a new home" for your show.

Only Savoy and the management at KKFT-FM know for sure.

UPDATE - 9/3/12 - I've invited Sean to an interview on my upcoming radio show on BlogTalkRadio to clear up any misrepresentations which apparently I and others have/are taking on this.

I look forward to his acceptance of this invitation to hear "the rest of the story".

UPDATE - 9/4/12 - In case you haven't heard it, this is the interview which caused so much consternation for station owner Jerry Evans to cancel Sean Savoy's weekly program.

On Wednesday (9/5) I hope to talk with Sean about doing the Focus On The Rainbow blogtalkradio show in a week or so. If that happens I will also certainly ask KKFT-FM for their side too, as unlikely that will be. But in any case we can at least hear Sean's side of the story, complete and without speculation or misrepresentation as to what and why his show was canceled.

UPDATE - 9/07/12 - I'm pleased to announce that Sean Savoy will be talking to this writer on the new BlogTalkRadio show version of Focus On The Rainbow.

The tentative broadcast date will be Wednesday 9/19 at 12:30 AM (Tuesday 9/18 at 9:30 PM).

As we get closer to the broadcast date there will be a posting about the program and what listeners can expect from Sean Savoy and this writer.

Focus On The Rainbow on BlogTalkRadio premieres Wednesday 9/12 at 12:30 AM (Tuesday 9/11 at 9:30 PM) with an open topic show for listeners to call in and discuss LGBT topics.

All broadcasts are 30 minutes in length and LIVE without commercial interruption.

Tit For Tat No Perkins ... No Besen

My favorite source for articles found on The Focus On The Rainbow Daily Run web paper, GayStarNews has an article written by Greg Hernandez which discusses anti-gay groups are calling on the lovely Bill O'Reilly not to have Wayne Besen of the group Truth Wins Out on his show anymore.

Shades of past bullies of media as when the LGBT group GLAAD came up with its No-No List and of course the Elites were howling that FRC's Tony Perkins (and others) should not be allowed on CNN and MSNBC programs, and in fact any news media, national or local.

Oh I can hear the outrage, not that I'm going to bother to look, from de gay blades in this latest attempt to censor the media, not because it's censorship but because it's one of theirs.

And that's what it is boys and girls, an attempt at censorship.. apparently tit-for-tat.

The sword it appears cuts both ways, although just like those who call for such things, is dull rather than sharp.

In an email from said anti-gay groups protesting their displeasure regarding the "homosexual agitator", "When Fox News provides a forum to a radical homosexual activist known for employing inflammatory and hateful language in the service of promoting lies, the network becomes complicit in the damage done to the victims of Wayne Besen's and the (Southern Poverty Law Center's) smear campaigns. We ask the News Corporation, Fox News, and Bill O'Reilly to find more ethical spokespersons for the liberal view of sexuality."

I hope FOX News has the balls to tell these twits to perform self-fellatio, not because it's Besen but because it's censorship.

Shep Smith Outed Again

In what starts off as an article about Shep Smith of FOX News and his "hidden agenda" comment about the Chick-Fil-A "appreciation day", "It’s National Badminton Day," he said on his show. "Let’s forget National Day of Intolerance. Let’s just stay with badminton"once again becomes another excuse to try to out the newscaster.

Regular readers know where I stand on this issue so I needn't go into it yet again but here you have EDGE doing an article about Smith and Chick-Fil-A and taking another opportunity to try to get Smith to come out just as these and other queer fascists did to Anderson Cooper and others until they kick open the door presuming there is a door to kick open.

Previously Smith has said this about same-sex marriage, After President Obama announced his support for gay marriage, Smith said on his show that the president is on the "right side of the 21st century." He then asked his colleague Bret Baier if the Republican Party would campaign against marriage equality "while sitting very firmly, without much question, on the wrong side of history on it".

Smith's comment at the time apparently ruffled Rush Limbaugh's feathers as he reacted, "Shep, where has the issue won?" Limbaugh said. "Where has the issue been victorious, Shep, outside your house? Where has the issue won an election? What state? Tell me where it’s happened."

The faggot press and LGBT Elite faggot bloggers are a contemptible lot, they lead off with one story item and use it as an excuse for another agenda.

Perhaps one day some of the folks who get this kind of "press" will have the balls to sue the pants off the bastards. But they won't as they "ignore" the coverage, stay silent as if there is nothing to acknowledge which of course just let's this kind of bullshit journalism to continue.

Obviously the editors at EDGE have their heads up their ass and never bother to ask the question prior to running a piece, "is this relevant ?"

Gayle King vs Erica Hill

Yet another dumbass move at my former employer CBS Broadcasting as it's been announced that Erica Hill is being replaced by former NBC correspondent Norah O'Donnell.

The always last ran morning show on CBS latest scapegoat is Hill. Well here's an eye-opener for CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager, you're getting rid of the wrong gal, in fact the one gal who makes watching the most boring program on early morning TV worthwhile.

The one you should axe is Gayle King who is abundantly ill-fitted for being a morning host just as she was being a news anchor at Channel 3 (a CBS affiliate) here in Connecticut for so many years.

In fact I would bet my last dollar if it weren't for her BFF Oprah Winfrey she would never have gotten past Hartford, CT broadcasting much less end up as the dead leg of a tripod morning anchor team.

While everyone hopes for advancement in broadcasting, when Hill announced she was going from her news reader position on AC360 at CNN (where she was woefully under used) to CBS I said to myself, "I hope she has thought this out well because the sharks really bite in the Black Rock waters in NYC and are unforgiving".

Hopefully she'll land on her feet with a better job either at Mother CBS or she could do well at MSNBC as many of the talking heads over there need to go ... sooner rather than later.

Fager you just go ahead and keep making the mistakes you're doing with the CBS Morning Show. Not that I don't think adding O'Donnell is a good idea but you have your head up your ass dumping Hill instead of King.

And by the way can you do something with that God awful set. Sometimes I don't know if I'm looking at a morning news show set or some version of the deck of the Starship Enterprise. May your tenure at CBS News continue to spiral downward.

NUTZ !

The Day Jared Max Came Out

It has been a year since ESPN Radio's Jared Max came out of the closet for all his listeners and world to see.

No small decision to make what with being an on-air personality on a major media network.

I'm reminded of this today as Jared has done a posting on FB thanking all who have supported him over the past year including of course ESPN.

In an article from a year ago on ESPN's website, Max said in his announcement to listeners, "Are we ready to have our sports information delivered by someone who's gay? Well, you know what, we are gonna find out," Max said. "Because for the last 16 years I've been living a free life among my close friends and family, and I've hidden behind what is a gargantuan-size secret here in the sports world. I am gay."

While Max's one year anniversary of coming out will most likely get little play in the world LGBT blogdumb, I do so because, and as Jared knows as I have written to him before, he did something I wish I could have done back in the 70's when I was a sports broadcaster.

Come out as a broadcaster who happens to be LGBT.

Thanks to Jared who helped pave the way for broadcasters who have and will in the future come out as LGBT.

Need I remind that it is not what you are but who you are which matters.

I look forward to the day when the former is of no consquence for those who work in the mass media.

Apple & Microsoft Fight NOM

Well boys and girls, visitors of all ages and sexual identity, if you got sucked in by the headline as PT Barnum once "said" there's a sucker born every minute.

Too bad the sucker in this case is MSNBC's Thomas Roberts one of our two Rainbow anchors at the peacock subsidiary.

Hasn't been a good couple of weeks for Mr. Roberts as last week he called out Maggie Gallagher of NOM for not showing up for an interview .... OOPS ... she was in the wrong studio and now MSNBC's gay blade (as opposed to lesbian blade and yours truly favorite the Maddow of Rachel) got sucked in by a story about Microsoft and Apple teaming up, or marrying as the story goes, to have NOM boycott their companies. WTF !!

One problem the story was satire.

Whether Roberts or his staff or both is responsible for this boner, it's getting to be like the Elite bloggers copy/pasting from one to the other and then finding out they have gotten wrong or incomplete information which they pose as news .

While its been great to have Roberts on for his hour show and who by in large does a good job, too many screw ups and there may be an opening during the 11 AM to Noon (ET) programming slot at MSNBC. Credibility in newscasting is everything and tolerance for errors only lasts so long.

Oh hell do what we use to do at CBS and blame the interns.

Staff Eggs Thomas Roberts

There's an old saying the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. And that was proved today at the chagrin of MSNBC's Thomas Roberts.

It seems Roberts was to discuss the NOM debacle with Wayne Besen and former NOMer Maggie Gallagher. Besen was there ready to go but Gallagher wasn't.

Unfortunately at the beginning of the segment Roberts showed he can be a bit of an LGBT Elite himself when he said, "This empty studio chair was supposed to hold Maggie Gallagher, former president and co-founder of the National Organization for Marriage. But as you can see she is missing in action, although we did confirm an hour ago that she would be in that studio. I would say, 'Hello Maggie," but you're not there."

And of course the LGBT bloggingdum Elites had a field day with the No NOM Show. That is of course until they had to lick their proverbial behinds when Roberts tweeted the following and had to update their LOL @ NOM.

"correction. It was OUR booking mistake!"

"MYSTERY solved... @maggiemarriage was in a studio ready for our #nom interview it was just the wrong studio booked improperly on @msnbc_booking IT WAS OUR MISTAKE and she has an open invite for the show. Our sincerest apologies."

Believe me I can feel for Roberts as during my broadcasting days I've been in similar situations where through the fault of others I had egg running down my face during broadcasting snafu's.

However Roberts did himself no favor by being the pious Elite he seemed to be when calling out Gallagher.

As I use to say on some of my other blogs, sumbuddie iz gunna git a whoppin'.

H/T to NG Blog as I saw this broadcasting "pull the covers over my head" at his blog first.

Thomas Roberts' interview with former NOMer Maggie Gallagher TAKE 2.

Rachel Maddow And Drift

Just in case you didn't know MSNBC's Rachel Maddow has a book out titled Drift: The Unmooring Of American Military Power which takes a look at something as she talked about in an interview on Meet The Press this past Sunday that has become problematic for her for many years, how we as a nation have become almost numb to the idea of going to war.

With Maddow's scholarly background I've been waiting for her to put pen to paper and write about something. Heck she could have written about fishing on Cape Cod and I'd look forward to reading the book. But myself being a history buff and in particular nations at war she picked the right topic for this writer to read.

I'll be picking up a copy later this week and look forward to the read. Usually I don't do reviews of books as a part of this blog, although I did once a couple of years ago about the book Wander The Rainbow written by David Jedeiken, nor do I promote books but this being written by Maddow and the subject matter I'm happy to do so.

Maddow will be doing a book tour starting tomorrow, Thursday March 29. A listing of tour dates you can find here at The Maddow Blog. I know we don't have as many disposable shekels these days but perhaps you could use part of your "happy times" allowance for April to buy Maddow's book. After all she is one of us and it's a good thing to spend money on parts the Rainbow.

GLAAD's CAP Epic #FAILure

Less than 24 hours after GLAAD announced its CAP blacklist of who shouldn't be allowed to opine in print, radio or on TV it has already become a failure.

This morning in the latter part of the 7 AM hour of Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien, she had on to talk politics Tony Perkins one of GLAAD's Most Wanted anti-gay folks.

Oops ... guess CNN and Soledad didn't get the memo.

GLAAD's narcissistic POV that the Media will pay attention to them and use GLAAD's background blacklist as a guide as to who should not be given a talking head platform because the Media at large is deaf, dumb and stupid because they don't know who they are allowing to opine is like telling a cow not to poop when nature calls.

GLAAD's CAP Media Blacklist

In yet another effort to show its continued relevancy and to get donations to keep this dead horse kicking GLAAD has come out with a new angle to persuade the media both large and small as to who should and should not be allowed air time or ink as talking heads in print, radio or television.

By now you may have heard about this and it's called the "Commentor Accountability Project" which provides the media with background on listed individuals as to their anti-gay rhetoric and stance all to hopefully persuade the media to not give these folks a platform to make an appearance even if not discussing de gay because their mere appearance is an affront to de gay.

Already some of the LGBT Elite bloggers are having their say and giving praise to this endeavor by GLAAD.

Jeremy Hooper of the blog Good As You writes in part, Today, we strive to heighten awareness of this work and expand the sphere so that we can bring even greater awareness of what these folks have said about us on their way to the cable newsroom, statehouse, or anywhere else they present themselves as mere "values voices."

Blogger Alvin McEwen contributes, When it comes to discussing gay issues, the media sometimes handles anti-gay pundits with kid gloves. It's not because of any bias, really. I think that a lot of it has to do with these pundits having the ability to disguise their anti-gay animus.

Given what Hooper and McEwen write it's obvious the media is too deaf, dumb and stupid as to exactly who the guests are which appear on programs or are asked as pundits for their opine on subjects to be put into print and needs GLAAD's help.

Hooper also wrote in the copy/paste piece at Joe Sudbay's Americablog Gay, GLAAD will not be telling anyone who to book, so there shouldn't be any "censorship" claims (even though there likely will be). The basic message is, "Okay fine, go ahead and book this person -- but when you do, here's what you need to know."

Censorship, oh perish the very thought. Just like when GLAAD howled at CNN to suspend Roland Martin or being furious with MSNBC for having on Tony Perkins several times as I wrote about here regarding trying to censor the media because anti-gay folks appear or are featured on-air or in print.

It should be noted in the link at the top of this posting GLAAD thanks Hooper and others for helping to put the blacklist together and also GLAAD or as I have referred to as the Pink Police proves what I wrote in this posting that we are now in the 1984 age of Big Brother. Here's what GLAAD is eliciting, We encourage individuals to alert the organization when these virulently anti-LGBT activists appear on local or national news.

So far GLAAD has, if my old school math is correct, 36 folks listed on their anti-gay web page of "don't you dare use these folks as talking heads" blacklist which has photos of said offenders.

Quite frankly I'm surprised GLAAD hasn't put cross-hairs over their faces. It reminds me of the FBI's Most Wanted list or even beyond that the ones who would be rubbed out or convicted by Bush after 9/11 and going into the war with Iraq to get Saddam Hussein and his "doers of evil".

And so it is boys and girls so as the Himmler's Nazi Gestapo had their blacklist of over 2300 names and backgrounds so too does GLAAD have its blacklist albeit with fewer names.

Comparing GLAAD to Nazis to harsh you may say. Well the Nazis in their misguided view thought they were doing the right thing also for their cause. Call a spade a spade folks GLAAD's list "may not" be censorship but it certainly can fall under intimidation of a sort when in the future GLAAD contacts a media organization and says "we have anti-gay background on these people why are you giving them a platform to speak ?"

Just as GLAAD is asking you to make them aware of media appearances or interviews, so too did the Gestapo have their rats to provide information.

Yep the Big Brother of 1984 Pink Police are now in full swing just waiting to pounce ... but we won't call this censorship or intimidation only a way to better inform the media.

Woody Allen in the video pretty much sums up my feelings about this as one who has worked in the news media and for those in the news media at large who are much too polite to say such things to GLAAD.

Roland Martin Back At CNN

The LGBT bloggers and websites will be picking up on this today I'm sure and gnashing their teeth at the same time as news reports are coming out that CNN with little fanfare ended Roland Martin's suspension over his tweets during the Super Bowl.

As of this writing CNN had not issued a press release but mentioned the month long suspension has been ceased during a conference call with various media.

I'm not going to go over what led to all of this, if you don't know by now then you don't need to. Just go to any number of blogs and websites of the pink variety today and tomorrow and I'm sure you'll find a blow by blow description and in some cases utter horror that CNN has brought Martin back.

I'm just going to say welcome back Roland.

The Annoying Survivor Poof

Oh great we have an opportunity to be represented as a community on the new season of Survivor and what do we get but a bitchy little queen poof.

While some will argue Colton Cumbie will make a great "villain" Colton has the worst of the anti-gay worst already writing comments on websites, in chat rooms and #survivor on Twitter about Colton and in turn us.

Here's an example of a commenter on the website Barstool Sports which had an article actually in favor of Colton and his playing the game.

Colton may be gayest guy in the world. I have nothing against gays but I have a big problem with that fuckin homo! I have no problem using every offensive hateful slur ever created on that fuckin faggot. He has no shot in hell at winning. If he does I will never watch again. If I ever see that bitch on the streets Im gay bashing him.

In a twist for those not watching, Colton is a Republican, comes from a small town in Alabama, Monroeville which claim to fame is the home town of Truman Capote (another well known but distinguished poof), has a privileged life in which as he said at Tribal Council during last night's episode, knows at least one black person, the family housekeeper and his southern racism more than came out when he found fault and dissed fellow black contestant Bill who got voted out in no small part with Colton's help.

“I’m a country club kid. I’ve never done a thing for myself in my life; I’ve always been taken care of, whether by my mom, my nanny, my boyfriend, whoever. These people are my bitches. I don’t want to do anything.”

That little piece of self-awareness from an outtake of Survivor.

Here's what Paul McKeever who lives in Canada wrote on his blog today about Colton, Colton Cumbie: even though your views are shared by a tiny minority of stuck-up, snobby, lazy, pretentious racists in America, you are everything that the world rightly hates about your country. You unjustly lower the United States of America. You lower men. You lower people who look like you. You lower homosexuals. Your country’s people, of all genetic make-ups, professions, and incomes, not only are better than you: they deserve better than you. And so does Survivor. You shame your country, and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Just what we need a racist bitchy poofy queen Republican from the South.

COLTON MEET KARMA

[ UPDATE - 3/22/12 ]

Now after writing the posting above the video one would think I'd be happy to see de bitchy Colton get his comeuppance but I'm not totally heartless.

After what I went through in 2011 with a debilitating car accident a year ago this month which required two operations on my hip (the second giving me an artificial one and I'm still getting the leg back to as near normal as possible) and then an out of the blue heart attack due to a blood clot in August I have empathy for anyone, yes even for Colton, suffering in agony from pain and the unknown of what is wrong from a medical standpoint.

For someone as immature as Colton is it must have scared the bejeebus out of him let alone the fact he may have to throw in the towel and give up his trip on the Survivor game.

Sure I would have rather seen him voted off in proper Survivor style but sometimes a higher authority has other plans even for the most miscreant of miscreants such that Colton is.

But rest assure the producers of Survivor know when they have a good thing for their show and Colton will be back to reign his terror of bullying again in another episode. The question is after being on the show and now as he awaits being on the reunion show seeing just how much regular folks "hate" him will he change and become a more gentler and kinder Colton ?

Hopefully not, as in as much as many despise him and his antics a kinder Colton would be a let down when it comes to Survivor villians and yes Colton that is what you are.

Let's just hope that he has learned some sort of lesson when it comes to bullying, much the topic these days both in school and against LGBTs.

I also hope, perhaps in vain on my part, Colton will learn of the great opportunity to break the stereotype of being a bitchy little poof and become a shining example of being LGBT one in which we as a community can root for rather than being ashamed of.

Only time will tell.
